Open Graph (OG) tags are HTML meta tags that control how your page appears when shared on social media. They define the title, description, image, and URL that platforms display in preview cards.

The recommended size is 1200x630 pixels for most platforms. Twitter also supports 1200x675 for large summary cards. Keep images under 5MB and use PNG or JPEG format.

Twitter uses its own twitter:card tags in addition to OG tags. Most other platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack) read OG tags directly. The copy feature generates both OG and Twitter tags.
