About the IT Hustle
I taught myself to code at 14 — QBasic on MS-DOS, on a virus-infested IBM 286 a church member donated to us. That turned into 25+ years of keeping other people's systems alive: laptop technician, system administrator, storage engineer, software engineer. Now the systems I operate are AI agents, and most of what I learned still applies: verify before you trust, check the logs, assume it's wrong until it proves itself right.
Why I Built This
IT people have been here before. Every few years the industry hands you something new to learn — virtualization, the cloud, containers — and tells you to figure it out or get left behind. AI agents are the newest version of that. And most of what's written about them is either:
- Written for developers who already live in this stuff
- Full of hype with no operational substance
- Paywalled behind expensive courses
- Written by people who've never had to keep a system running at 3am
So I built something different: free tools with sysadmin instincts baked in, for the IT-ops person who's now operating agents instead of servers. No login walls. No data sold. Just tools that check what the agent got wrong, the way you'd check a junior engineer's work.
What's Here
Agent Ops Tools
MCP configs, token counting, cost planning, prompt linting — the browser-based checks you actually need when you're the one operating the agents, not just prompting them.
AI Anti-Hallucination Engine
A prompt generator built on proprietary technology that reduces AI hallucinations through verification steps and structured outputs.
Guides & Prompt Packs
Practical playbooks and prompt collections for performance reviews, small business automation, and AI setup.
Blog & Podcast
Real talk about AI, automation, and navigating career upheaval. No fluff.
Who's Behind It
This site is a project of mine, operated under Salty Rantz LLC. I'm not putting a name and headshot on this page — I'd rather you judge the tools by whether they save you time than by a bio — but the experience behind them is real: 25+ years as a laptop technician, system administrator, storage engineer, and software engineer, now pointed at AI agent operations.
This isn't a startup and there's no venture funding behind it. It's a small, bootstrapped operation — free tools supported by advertising, built by someone who still checks the exit code before believing the job actually succeeded.
